Infinix Unveiled its First Ever Premium Smartphones with Periscope Cameras

For the first time in history, Infinix left its comfort zone of entry level and mid-range smartphone to launch a real device, Infinix Zero X series with Periscope cameras. This is the company’s first three phones to feature periscope lenses.

Infinix Zero X, Zero X Pro, and Zero X Neo comes with a periscope lens that is coupled with the company’s proprietary Galileo Algorithm Engine. According to Infinix this setup enables users to capture high-resolution moon shots from their smartphones.

Infinix Zero X Specification

Infinix Zero X features  a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, 8GB of RAM and 3GB of Extended RAM plus 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage that is also expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB) through a dedicated slot

Infinix Zero X

It comes with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64MP primary sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and an 8MP sensor with a 60x periscope lens. The camera setup is also paired with optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) as well as includes a quad LED flash.

It comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front with a dual selfie flash. It is housed by a 4,500mAh battery, paired with 45W fast charging.

Infinix X Pro Specifications

The Zero X Pro features the same 6.67” AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Paired with MediaTek’s helio G95 chipset.

The phone also comes with the identical triple rear camera setup, 108MP primary sensor; it has the 16MP selfie camera sensor at the front. The Infinix Zero X Pro has 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage options.

Both Zero X Pro and Zero X also have identical dimensions. One difference is that the Infinix Zero X Pro is housed by a 5,000mAh battery.

Infinix Zero X Neo

The Zero X Neo switches over to a larger 6.78″ LCD with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. This phone also has a larger battery with 5,000 mAh capacity and 18W charging (which bears a TUV Rheinland certification).

The Infinix Zero X Neo also has the same 128GB of internal storage as well as the connectivity options and sensors that are available on the Zero X. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

The Infinix Zero X series will be available in Nigeria, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt and other regions. However, there are no plans to expand to Western Europe or the US yet.

Pricing will be revealed separately for the various countries, but should be around the $300 mark.

Aside from the phones, the company also unveiled two TWS headsets, the Infinix X220 and XE25. The XE20 feature a low-latency mode that drops to just 60 ms, they have 10 mm drivers with a composite diaphragm. The XE25 switches to a graphene diaphragm and boasts an impressive total playback time of “over 100 hours” (with an LCD on the charging case to keep track of the battery).
