Microsoft surface duo 2 has been launched, the company’s latest dual-screen Android device, as the successor to last year’s model.
The new Surface Duo 2 features dual 5.8-inch 1892×1344 resolution AMOLED panels, which combined become 8.3-inch across with a resolution of 2688×1892. The display can reach 800 nits of brightness and is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
It is powered by Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform, upgraded triple-lens camera and runs Android 11 out of the box.
The camera on the back has been bumped up to a triple lens unit. It now features a 12MP f1.7 main wide, 12MP f2.4 2x telephoto, and 16MP f2.2 utlra-wide. You can also record video up to 4K 60fps or up to 1080p 240fps.
The Surface Duo 2 also supports the new Surface Slim Pen 2, which can be magnetically attached to the outside of the device to charge. The Surface Duo 2 itself does not support wireless charging for its 4449mAh battery but you do get 23W USB-C fast charging, although you will have to get the charger separately.
