Tecno Mobile has launched a new entry level smartphone in the POP series dubbed has Tecno Pop 8. It is a successor to the pop 7 and it offers better cameras and more storage options.
The Tecno Pop 8 features a 6.6-inch LCD of 720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. There’s an 8MP front facing camera housed inside a punch hole cutout and dual flash on the top. Tecno is also bringing its Dynamic Port which makes use of the area around the punch hole cutout with useful notifications, charging status and call status.
It runs on Unisoc’s T606 chipset sists at the helm aided by 3/4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage which is expandable via the microSD card slot. It is housed by Android 13 (Go edition) while the battery comes in at 5000mAh and supports 10W charging.
Looking at the cameras, the back houses a 13MP main shooter alongside an AI cam. The third cutout houses an LED flash and interestingly enough there’s a second smaller flash above that one.
Tecno Pop 8 comes in Mystery White, Alpenglow Gold, Magic Skin and Gravity Black colors. Pricing and availability are not provided at this time but leaks point to an INR 7,000 ($85) starting price in India.
