Huawei has launched Mate X2, the company’s latest foldable phone at an event in China. It comes with cool specifications and awesome battery life.
Mate X2 comes with an 8-inch OLED screen on the inside with 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 6.45-inch external OLED screen with 240Hz touch sampling rate.
The internal panel supports DCI-P3 colors, the external one does not. The external one wins out in terms of touch sampling rate, 240Hz vs. 180Hz.
The inner screen boasts the industry’s first “magnetically-controlled nano optical layer”. That’s a fancy way of saying it minimizes light reflection and glare (reflectivity is below 1.5%, compared to 5% or higher for the Galaxy Z Fold2).
The Huawei Mate X2 is powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset, runs on Android 10 with EMUI 11 on top, but it will be the first phone to get HarmonyOS is April, said the company. The phone has 8 GB of RAM plus 256 or 512 GB of storage.
It is housed by a 4500mAh (2250mAh x 2 ) battery with supports for 55W wired fast charging.

The HUAWEI Mate X2 comes in Black, White, Crystal Blue and Crystal Pink colors, is priced at 17,999 yuan (US$ 2783) for the 256GB storage version and the 512GB storage version costs 18,999 yuan (US$ 2938).
