Xiaomi Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e Launching in July

The new Xiaomi smartphone series will be called CC (with multiple meanings behind the abbreviation) and Lei Jun, the company CEO, explained earlier this month the phones will be for young and creative people.

The first phone is expected to be called Xiaomi CC9 and to arrive on July 2.

Earlier rumors suggested that The Xiaomi Mi CC9e is expected to come with a 5.97-inch AMOLED display that produces full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display and rear side of the phone may come with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The waterdrop notch on the screen is expected to house a 32MP front-facing camera. The rear side of the phone may feature an OIS enabled triple camera setup with 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 as primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor and a third lens of 5-megapixel.

The MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie OS customized specially for the CC series could be available on the device.
The smartphone could be fueled by Snapdragon 710 chipset and 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. It may release in 64 GB and 128 GB (eMMC 5.1) storage models.

The smartphone may house a 3,500mAh battery that carries support for 18W fast charging through USB-C. It may not support NFC connectivity. other rumored features include in-screen fingerprint sensor, IR blaster and Hi-Res audio.

However, no word yet from the company regarding the spec and the prices. Expected launch date July 2nd has been announced.
