The year is almost winding up… and Google has just announced its Android best apps of 2021 which includes the apps for Wear OS and Google TV.
The company says the main criteria for choosing the best apps in each category innovative nature of the said apps. New gameplay features and new ways to interact with the software.
Just like the best apps of 2020, apps focused on personal growth were in high demand in 2021. This year’s winners found creative, and often meditative, ways to help users get to know themselves on a deeper level.
Apps such as Balance for meditation, Moonly for guidance through the lunar calendar and Laughscape for mediation through laughter.
The best game category wins Pokemon UNITE for the dynamic gameplay and good cross-platform experience. Bird Alone and Donut County get honorable mentions as well from indie developers.
And as for users’ choice of 2021, Paramount+ wins the app category while Garena Free Fire MAX wins the game category.
