The world most popular instant chat messenger WhatsApp becomes the second non Google app to cross 5 billion installs on Google Play store.
Only very few applications have so far reached 5 billion downloads, and most of them are Google pre-installed apps; Facebook reached 5 billion downloads last year, and now, The chat messenger which was acquired by Facebook, WhatsApp has reached 5 billion installed as non-Google application.
With WhatsApp being the primary means of communication in different countries with 1.5billion monthly active users, in which a large percentage of installs are from Google play store.
It is a great feat for WhatsApp messenger.
