Samsung is axing down the Galaxy Note brand name, replacing it with “Ultra”. At the MWC 2022 Samsung said the “Galaxy Note” brand will come to an end, and the Galaxy Ultra brand will continue moving forward.
If you noticed, Samsung hasn’t released a Galaxy Note device since the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra were released in 2020. And this year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra, which featured the return of an integrated stylus, is a Galaxy Note device in everything but name.
Samsung’s chief of smartphone Roh Tae-moon has now told reporters at MWC that the Galaxy Note brand is officially dead, and the mantle will now be taken up by the “Ultra” brand.
