Etisalat Changed Name to 9Mobile…Goodbye Etibaba

Though they had promised that the internal operations will not be affected
and staffs will not be retrenched … only the name will change and it has
changed.

Etisalat Nigeria has on Thursday,
July 13, changed its name after weeks of reported crises. The management of the
company at the end of a management meeting in Lagos adopted the name 9Mobile as
the new brand name.

This happened after Etisalat International issued 3 weeks ultimatum to change the name or… Now that the name
has changed, you should begin to see effect of the name change from your mobile
device any moment soon.
Why not 9jaMobile instead of
9Mobile?
Though the name sound strange but
with time, you’ll be use to it. What do you think?

  1. What is strange inside company name ?
Is it written with Chinese language or Arabic!
MTN ZAIN ETISALAT GLO NTEL MTEL VISAPHONE STARCOM VMOBILE AIRTEL ZOOM RETEL are not strange ?
It's look strange because the name is new
The name is not deferent from other networks name

  2. I also felt 9jamobile would have been better since they already have the 0809ja for life identity but they must have a reason for choosing this.
